I have been reading through calls for submissions lately and have noticed that at least a couple publishers want male/male romance/erotica, but are not interested in female/female romance/erotica... and they might want polyamory, but only with one woman and two men.
Anyone else notice a trend in this direction?
If anyone here notices a publisher who seeks un-agented submissions with openness to LGBT relationships who does not cater to gay men only, or alpha-alpha poly triads, I'd be interested to know!
Evernight published a very successful f/f romance. Loose Id has and LGBT section. I'm pretty sure Samhain takes f/f and one of Carina's editors is looking for LGBT.
There is a market for F/F but as mentioned, the market is simply larger for romances involving men. The most important thing is telling a good story, and unless a publisher specifically says they don't want F/F, if they have a LGBT line, there's no harm in subbing. Also, there are digital publishers who specialize in LGBT fiction (if I could recall any of them off the top of my head, I'd list them, but I'm drawing a blank)
Dreamspinner and I think Torquere (sp). New Concepts won't consider m/m or f/f, so don't sub to them. I think I saw a few on Ellora's Cave. You might try Loose ID. We were having a discussion about all of the m/m on a blog one day and the owner said that was the majority of submissions. They might consider f/f if they have submissions that are good.
I think there's historically been a limited market for f/f, but this is changing, and a lot more publishers are taking it and publishing it. (I for one would like to see some quality f/f books on the market, because I've read a lot that weren't so good.)
LGBT: Anyone Else Notice Publishers Seeking M/M, M/F/M, But Not F/F?

I think they think there is not much of a market, because for some reason they think the women want to read m/m only.

breathless press is taking f/f as well.

Blame Yaoi. Whats better for teenage girls than a romance novel about a hunky guy? A romance novel about TWO hunky guys!

I know Ellora's Cave accepts f/f, but the market is limited.
