3 months agoThe write-ins are kinda thin this year. If anyone has a suggestion on how to make them better...let me know.

3 months agoIt's day 5....yes!! Hope all of you are on line for the five day word count update badge. Hope to see a few more of you at the next write-in :D
3 months agoWe're coming into the last stretch and I hope your fingers are itching to get started. Virtual write-ins are already underway in time zones that are ahead of us...let them inspire!
4 months agoHey there my fellow Kenyans. Hope you are looking forward to November because it's just around the corner. Want to get your opinion on write-in venues. With the number of Java options available...it might be nice to change things around a little this year. What say you?
about 1 year agoIt's almost time people. I hope everyone who intended to get through NaNoWriMo this year with a 50k novel is well on their way to finishing and verifying. If that's not you...worry not. There is room enough to finish your novel in the coming months and celebrate what has always been a great writing adventure.
about 1 year agoThree day writing extravaganza @Java Adam's Arcade from friday 28-30th and we get to celebrate the end of NaNoWriMo in style - with plenty of purple banners.
about 1 year agoWeek two...how was it for you? I hope it was the kind that leaves you feeling like a writing superstar. And if it didn't...there's still time to get back on track. Week three...here we come!!
over 1 year agoWe're coming to the end of week one and I can still see some blank word count bars. People...let's do a lot more writing. Or perhaps a little more presence on the forums. Come around, tell us what your up to this fine November of 2014.
over 1 year agoOne more day peeps. Hope you're as excited about it as I am!!!
over 1 year agoIt's only three more days to the start of NaNoWriMo. Hope your prep is all done and you are dying to get started. See you at the kick-off - Saturday 1st November Java Junction from 10a.m.
over 1 year agoOnly 15 more days to the beginning of NaNoWriMo 2014. Anyone else as impatient as me?

over 2 years agoWelcome to NaNoWriMo 2013!
Your region is without an official Municipal Liaison this year. But you can still have fun on the forums and meet in person with other Wrimos. Just start a post and propose a get-together or chat.
Please follow the Codes of Conduct.
And have a great time!
about 4 years agoThe final stretch! Don't forget - there's a TGIO party this Friday night at Brew Bistro in Nairobi (6pm-8pm). Come and meet your wrimos. Hopefully we'll continue to encourage each other as writers throughout the year.
over 4 years agoDon't forget there's a sale on halos this week. All it costs is a donation to nanowrimo to keep the website running.
over 4 years agoOne week just flew by! We have a write-in this Tuesday at the iHUB @ 6pm - check calendar below for details. See images of the art we made during last week's kick off event here: http://chewychunks.wordpress.com/2011/11/06/nanowrimo-kick-off-internal-editor-and-muse-figurines/
over 4 years agoCongrats wrimos! The Africa::Kenya group just pass 50 members. Tanzania still boasts 110 members, so we have our work cut out for us in recruiting this weekend.
Your homework: Dress up for Halloween and hand out candy with an invite to join nanowrimo. (And sleep a lot)
over 4 years agoNanowrimo search should be up in a few days. Until then, we don't know how many Kenya wrimos we have yet - but keep recruiting. I know you've needed that excuse to strike up a conversation with that cute girl/guy in the coffee house/matatu. Tell them about Nanowrimo today!
over 4 years agoThis is a new region on nanowrimo for 2011! If you'd like to help spread the word, do it! (You can also email me and we can tag-team the outreach effort) -- Marc
