There is not many reasons for me to send out a NaNoWriMo related email to all of you between December and September, but I have been thinking about something coming up very soon. Camp NaNoWriMo. The good thing about Camp NaNoWriMo is that it is run during two months of the year, this year being April and July. And also you do not have to aim for 50,000 words, so if you want to write something shorter that is perfectly fine in this one and if you reach your smaller goals, you're still a winner!! You also get a snazzy little cabin with three to four other wrimo's where you can chat and encourage each other, and I've always found these pretty good during the event!
Why the hell am I bringing this up when its only February? Well, in just under two months, the first one kicks off. I have been in these Camps, both times a year since 2012, and I plan to do so once more in 2014. I would love to know if any of you are planning on competing, I could possibly organise a write in or two at my local library - Kawana Library - if so. I do not think we will have as many people that will be in this, so a few write ins on Saturdays at Kawana would likely be all we need, and also the room I usually try to get is massive!!
You can find all the information about Camp NaNoWriMo at their website http://campnanowrimo.org/ Best thing? You can use the username you have on the NaNoWriMo site without needing to resign up!
Please let me know no later than February 28, and if I can get positive replies from at least 3 members I will start trying to book that library room!
