Hooray! Thank you! Just wrote the opening few sentences of my very first novel. So exciting! I've had this idea kicking around in my head for a few years. Glad there's nanowrimo to give me a much needed kick in the pants.
BTW, last week I submitted an entry for the FaithWriters Writing Challenge. Having successfully written and entered that made me hungry for more writing.
I'm getting excited! I've had to sew up my kids' costumes that last couple of days, which was good for getting me to stop obsessing about my first wrimo. I've been reading No Plot? No Problem! It's been great for getting me to turn off my inner editor. I'm looking forward to spitting a bunch of words into my computer.
Ok, so I logged in, updated my profile picture. I'm going to try this again this year. Work has been slow. I keep telling my kids "Writing isn't hard. Just write like you're talking to someone." So, if I'm going to make them do it, I'm going to do it lol.
Hey guys, I'm getting on with my novel. I've already got about 900 words written in the first chapter. I'm so excited about this year in NANO. If been so out of it for a while in my writing. It's suffered from other obligations. So I really needed this. How to make this one of my forums where I can pop in easily to it? I currently have to make a search for it every time. So I was wondering if I could make it something in my settings? Anyone know?
Christine - when I commented, it put this thread in "watched threads." When you're logged in, click "forums" and the drop down menu should say "watched threads." Click it and see if this thread is there.
I'm excited about NaNo this year because it looks like I'll really be able to go all the way. I have no outline, no clear idea on the series I'm writing, but still confident for some reason. Hope it doesn't backfire ;-)
