I live in a small town on the North Shore of Massachusetts with my husband of 1 1/2 years (though together for 6 1/2 years), my 3 daughters from my first marriage - 17, 15, and 12, our old, gentle cat Yuki and our crazy young cat Oreo.
My hobby focus for the year leads to different novels. A year spent working on genealogy turned into a historical fiction in 2014, and a year spent working on emergency preparedness turned into a post-apocalyptic book for 2015.
11 months of the year when I'm not working I bake, cook, help with homework, do things around the house, and teach Sunday school to kids at church and never seem to have time to myself. In November when I'm not working I'm writing. I'm not sure what happens to those other things to give me time to write.
2015 has brought a special new challenge, in addition to chronic pain and chronic migraine, which pop up as noveling speed bumps, I severely damaged my right (driving) ankle while hiking in the Azores in mid-August. After EMTs carried me out of the volcanic cavern on a stretcher, I haven't walked without a cast or aircast since. It's not going to stop me!
