almost 5 years agoAttention all writers coming from Seoul for our Midway Party,
I am hoping to get some writing done on the commute with some participants. My plan is to get some committed people, book all the tickets myself so we can sit together, and collect money via bank transfer (~40,000 won). You would need to be at Seoul station by 9 or 10pm (we can be flexible with official departure time). The event is coming up very soon, so I want to get this done ASAP!
If you are interested in being part of this KTX Write-in, please send an email with your Kakao ID and phone number to firstname.lastname@example.org by this Saturday at 11:59 pm. Let's start this awesome weekend right!

almost 5 years agoNaNoWriMo is a mere few days away! Check out our Google calendar for our upcoming events, notably:
- Online Midnight Write, Nov. 1 right at midnight!
- Saturday Seoul write-in (Itaewon)
- Sunday Seoul write-in (Gangnam)
- Online Write-In on Monday!
almost 5 years agoWe have two sister regions this year -- Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, and Peoria, Illinois! I posted the sign-up sheet for the writing buddies below. Sign up for a 'frenemy' from Fredericton or Peoria and have even more motivation to meet your word count goal!
We'll also be joining their online write-ins (and they'll join ours), and we'll see which region has the highest overall word count by the end of November!
No matter where you live in Korea, please remember to "home" the Seoul region so that your words will be counted in our competition with Fredericton and Peoria! Here are the instructions:
- Choose "Local Events" from the menu bar and click "Find A Region."
- If there is a blue house icon under our region name, you have already joined us, and are already homed with us. Huzzah!
- If you do not see our region, scroll down to the Other Regions section. Type in our region name (or part of it) in the text box. Locate our region under the text box and click "Join this region." This will move our region up into the "My Regions" list.
- If you have joined our region, but there is no house, you need to click the link on the right which says "Make this region my home," and then you too will get a lovely blue house!
about 5 years agoHi everyone!
Just want to give you an update on NaNoWriMo this year. Joe (unseenedge) and I are your MLs for the Seoul region. We're planning LOTS of awesome events all around Korea. We're the only two MLs for the country, so we want to spread our reach. Joe is in Seoul, and I'm on the south coast in a city called Tongyeong. We'll be holding a huge Midway Writing Weekend in Daegu on the weekend of the 15th.
We'll also have regular online write-ins so you can join us for word wars and NaNo camaraderie no matter where you are in Korea!
We'll have an events calendar out soon. Keep an eye on the Seoul NaNo forum and Google calendar for more info!
