To validate and win, make sure you've created your novel on your dashboard for this year (if you've been updating your word count, you're good), then click on your word count at the top of any page, and click on "Check your official word count total." Paste in your whole novel and click validate!

If you RSVP'd past the deadline & asked to be on the waiting list, keep an eye on your NaNoMail this weekend, & you'll receive a note if a spot opens up for you. Also, if you have to cancel, please let one of us MLs know ASAP so we can let people on the waiting list know. Final prices (including tax, tip, & appetizer sampler platter) will be: salad - $23.74, cheesesteak - $22.80, veggie sandwich - $18.74. Please bring cash! Can't wait to see everyone!!

almost 6 years agoGreat to see everyone at the midnight Write-In! (And I got more words written than EVER BEFORE at a midnight event, probably because Kelly & I were separated by a booth lol.) Keep those fingers moving on those keyboards, and good luck to anyone brave enough to do #50Kday!

We just had a whole bunch of new-Newbies sign up tonight, so if you can help a first-timer out, please check out the Adopt-a-Newbie thread below and apply. It's a fun program, and will hopefully result in some new friendships as well! Newbies - I will have your mentors for you as soon as I can. :)

almost 7 years agoKick-Off Party RSVP has ended! Thank you to everyone who responded. If you posted your RSVP prior to 7pm last night (Sunday, Oct 23), you are in! If you didn't get your response in in time, you can send me a NaNoMail to be put on the backup list in case anyone cancels. Alternatively, feel free to come out to Church Brew Works at noon on the 30th anyway, and ask for a table near us (with 32 people, we are going to be at multiple tables near each other anyway).
