Hello Wrimos!

It’s day three of NaNo 2018! I hope your creative mojo is going strong and you are getting those words in!

Don’t forget that today is Double-Up Donation Day, so that means there is a lot happening: writing prompts, giveaways, virtual write-ins, and of course, fundraising. Currently we have 40 active novelists and only $40 in NaNo donations, so let’s see if we can get that up!

There is also a word goal for today for the NaNo community: 130 million words. That’s quite a big number, so let’s do our part and write, write, write!

May the words be with you,

Hey Writers!

After talking with MLs from many different NaNoWriMo regions around the world, I have determined that our writing group needs a mascot!

Please help us come up with ideas! Just click on either the link to the Writers of the Upper Cumberland blog or the link to the WotUC Facebook page in 'Links" section to the right. In both places is a link to the form you can fill out.

Thanks!

Hey Wrimos!

As some of you may have been aware, we have a writing group in Cookeville called Writers of the Upper Cumberland (formerly Cookeville Wrimos) that meets once a month to write, brainstorm, and, of course, procrastinate.

We have changed our Workshop & Write-In day, time, and location, and I wanted to make sure you all knew about it. The new meeting info is detailed below (our first meeting in the new space is TOMORROW).

I also wanted to remind you of the WotUC blog/site, and our Facebook group (links are in the right sidebar). I hope to see you soon!

For the foreseeable future, I will not be able to host any gatherings due to lack of a vehicle, so Weekly Write-Ins are on hiatus.

You are, of course, welcome to get together to write any time you wish! If you would like me to post something about a gathering, just let me know!

Happy writing!

No meeting tonight (12/22) due to the holidays and such, so enjoy this evening before the bad weather hits us tomorrow!

I won't be hosting the group tonight as I am sick. Hopefully will be back to regular writing group schedule next week!

The end is very, very nigh!

Congrats to all who have reached 50k, and to all those still trying, you can do it!

If you were unable to reach 50k this year (like myself), don't worry! There is always Camp NaNoWriMo in the Spring/Summer and another November next year.

No matter how many words you wrote, I want to thank all for taking this crazy journey. ^_^

Don't forget tomorrow (December 1st) at 6:30pm we will be having our TGIO (Thank God It's Over) Party in the side room at The Coliseum Pub. Hope to see you all there!

**Change to Tuesday Night Write-Ins (during November as well as the rest of the year)**

Due to trivia being added to Tuesday night at The Coliseum Pub, we will no longer be meeting in the front by the stage but will be in the side room (by the gaming TVs and game store).

***NEXT WRITE-IN***

I will not be able to meet tomorrow night (Thursday 11/19) so our next write-in will be on Saturday (11/21) as scheduled. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Don't forget to backup your novel!

A CHANGE TO TONIGHT'S WRITE-IN:

Our Official Write-in for tonight, November 14th, will be at 7pm at Big O Donuts. The Coliseum is having an event with paid admission, so we've moved it so anyone who wants to come to the write-in can. Hope to see you there!
